It’s more than a summer program. It’s a community. It’s a brotherhood. It’s a space where brilliant young scholars are challenged, supported, celebrated, and empowered to dream bigger.
Over the ...past few weeks, we’ve learned together, laughed together, pushed through challenges together, and created memories that will last a lifetime. From STEM experiences to wellness programming, leadership development, and countless moments of joy, our scholars have grown in ways that extend far beyond the classroom.
Watching these young men discover new possibilities for themselves has been one of the greatest joys of my career.
SMASH is special because it intentionally develops the whole scholar—mind, body, and spirit. And I am so thankful to be a part of this transformative journey.

We don’t just learn STEM inside the classroom—STEM is all around us. Last weekend, our SMASH Morehouse scholars took a STEAM tour of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium—and it was next level!
From the data center powering the entire stadium, to the green gardens, zero-waste initiatives, and ...all the electrical engineering behind the lights and turf—we saw STEM in action! Plus, we got a special FIFA/World Cup tour: standing in the locker rooms, near the field—10/10 experience!
Our scholars took everything they’re learning and connected it to real-world applications—seeing just how powerful STEM can be when it touches every part of life.

Could you do what you do without your laptop?
For students building futures in STEM, access to technology is everything.
SMASH partnered with @Inspireduatl to support Atlanta scholars with digital literacy training, helping them sharpen the skills they need to research, create, ...apply, explore, and move through an increasingly digital world.
Scholars also got set up with laptops courtesy of Inspiredu, giving them more tools to keep learning, building, and chasing what’s next. 💻✨

Scholars met employees across teams, heard real career stories, toured the office, and learned how to use ...LinkedIn to open doors. This was all about helping scholars see what’s possible and how to get there.
