Mission
Our Mission is to empower brilliant underrepresented students with rigorous science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, culturally-relevant coursework and access to resources and social capital that allow them to pave a successful career in tech and entrepreneurship.
SMASH is committed to eliminating the barriers faced by young underrepresented people of color in STEM and fostering their untapped talent for the advancement of our nation.
Vision
Our Vision is a STEM ecosystem where every student, regardless of the zipcode they grew up in, has the opportunity to participate in and thrive in the tech innovation economy.
As a result, our communities and workplaces would benefit from well-prepared, competitive leaders representing broad perspectives and sectors of society.
