SMASH Recruitment is Happening Now!

We are currently recruiting scholars for the 2015 Summer Math and Science Honors (SMASH) Academy at the UC Berkeley and Stanford campuses. Now is your chance to support the young people you know! Ideal SMASH scholars have a strong interest and curiosity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Math, particularly Computer Science and Engineering. If that sounds like a student you know, make sure they submit the pre-application by February 1st and a complete application by February 16th, 2015. The pre-application can be found on our website or click here to submit a pre-application. Underrepresented students in STEM are strongly encouraged to apply!

SMASH is looking for the following applicants:

  1. Currently enrolled in the 9th grade
  2. Live in one of the following San Francisco Bay Area counties: San Francisco, Marin, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda, Napa, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, or San Mateo
  3. Have strong mathematics skills appropriate for grade level, as determined by the SMASH math assessment (administered in March)
  4. Attend a public high school, charter high school or a private high school (via scholarship).

Please share this out with your network and feel free to reach out to one of the Bay Area Site Directors:
